July 15th 2015 was the first day of ownership, only my second car, a 1992 Lexus sc400. I was freshly 17 having just finished junior year of highschool with a v8 luxury yacht(in terrible shape). The following is everything that led up to the Great Scrappening of September 2019.
3 chassis, 1 fire, 8 flatbed trips, 5 sets of rims, 4 blown motors, 2 blown differentials, and every penny from then until now. She rarely ran right, the automatic shifted hard enough to break traction, limp mode every 20 minutes for 1.5 years, wiring harness problems, cracked subframes, cracking chassis, and down the road the manual trans was very crunchy.
After the engine spun a bearing right after a rebuild it was time to move on, given that the trans was on it’s way out and the clutch wouldnt the power either. All the useful parts were stripped in September after the engine blew and she was sent to the scrapyard.
I still miss it though

All that, and you still stood by it.
That’s true love. Good on you.

They were, and it used 3ply brake ducting as charge pipe through the interior under the passenger seat and out the firewall.

Very cool. I had my eye on a remote turbo for my NC but could never scrape together the cash.

What an emotional ride. Sorry about the fire. What is the wing made out of on the red one?

The wing was made out of scrap steel and bondo, though getting both sides to look right up close ended up being impossible so the idea got shelved

I asked because I figured it was the same process that produced this other wing I saw recently. (Much less successful here)

Beautiful car. And the pictures read like a Greek tragedy where everything goes down in (literal) flames.

Definitely sad, but you clearly tried to keep her running. She clearly didn’t want the same :/

Either a locost or a truck, pretty sure it won’t fin into anything else.
If it’s the locost route the chassis will be lowered to around 12" so the turbos can hang over the side, then a mustang gt axle, nissan 6 speed, 17" rims to clear big brakes, between 95" and 100" wheelbase, and 6ft wide

That locost would be sick for sure!
